Order Formation and On-Demand Sourcing
By placing an order, you authorize UK Carparts to source the specific part from the United Kingdom. The contract is deemed formed upon our email confirmation of the order with a corporate customer with whom we have a valid sourcing agreement or upon the payment of the pre-delivery order deposit. As these are on-demand imports, orders cannot be canceled once the part has been purchased in the UK.
Pricing, Duties, and Taxes
- Total Landed Cost: The estimated price communicated to you once you submit an inquiry includes the cost of the part and international freight, insurance, warehousing and other logistics related charges, and import duties including VAT.
- Price Fluctuations: The price we provide at the inquiry stage is an estimate based on the prevailing GBP/LKR exchange rate at the time of the inquiry. We will adjust the adjust prices at the time of delivery based on significant fluctuations in the GBP/LKR exchange rate.
Delivery and Risk
- Timeline: Typical delivery from the UK to Sri Lanka takes 10–15 business days. Delays caused by Sri Lanka Customs or international shipping disruptions are beyond our control.
- Transfer of Risk: The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery to the specified address in Sri Lanka.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the part. We are not liable for any consequential losses, including vehicle rental costs, loss of income, or labor charges incurred due to a faulty part.
